Q: What should I wear for a session?
A: We recommend you wear sweatpants or shorts and a tee shirt. It is important to be comfortable. If you come in street clothes, we ask that you remove your belt and anything in your pockets. You will be laying on a massage table. Some prefer to be in their underwear and we do have appropriate draping.

Q: What is a typical session like?
A: We usually begin a session with a few minutes of conversation to establish the reason for the visit. Depending on your specific needs, a combination of techniques will be chosen, usually with the focus on the Sound work. You will then lay clothed on a massage table (typically face down 1st) and the practitioner will begin by either placing tuning forks or hands on the body. Sometimes a metal singing bowl may be placed on the back and activated. The practitioner will use the tuning forks and or hands on multiple energy points over the body. At some point, gongs are usually played. It is not uncommon for you to feel extremely relaxed and even fall asleep.

Q: How will I feel after a session?
A: It is difficult to know how each person will feel after a session is complete. There are some who hop off the table fully energized. Most people experience what you might call an "altered state". Maybe a little "out of it" right afterwards. The extreme relaxation one has on the table typically leaves you rather "dreamy" after a session. This will diminish as time goes on. We don't recommend that you have intense meetings or long drives after you have a session. You may experience odd dreams or some emotions may arise even for days after the session. This is quite normal and part of the process as you will continue to "recalibrate" so to speak.

Q: How often should I schedule sessions?
A: This is a very difficult question as everyone is different. Someone experiencing a chronic issue may choose to come more often for the first few sessions. The treatments do build upon one another. Someone who wants to maintain a preventative or relaxation routine could come once a month. There are some who come weekly as well as some who come twice a year. There is no "right" answer. This is something you can discuss with the practitioner.
Q: Should I tip my therapist?
A: This is completely up to you. If you enjoyed your session and found the experience to be professional, beneficial and relaxing, a tip is greatly appreciated but not expected. About 65% of clients tip.
